This Cist. congregation followed the "primitive" observance of Cîteaux

and the institutions of the "Charta Caritatis" => originally it was inspired by Augustin de Lestrange

1892 canonical erection of the "Ordo Cisterciensium B. V. de Trappa" (reunification of three Cistercian-Trappist congregations without the Trappists of Casamari)
