Description
Composite manuscript from Florence Franciscans. Large initial B at the beginning of Vita Prima Bernardi with half figures of nimbed frontal Christ in upper half and Bernard in white cowl with hood over head in lower half. Below initial is figure of a monk in grey cowl with hood over head and facing the reader while pointing to the text on the right and therefore probably representing the author of Book 1, William of Saint Thierry.
