Description
Gradual dated c 1260 from Cistercian Abbey of Heilsbronn. Within initial D(omine) from Palm Sunday Introit. Tonsured and nimbed monk in white cowl and red chasuble at the elevation of the Host by an altar on which is a chalice. Hand of God above blesses the scene. Behind Bernard are two monks in grey habits.
