Description: |
---|
One of twelve early fifteenth-century images only a small part of the top is visible. Two heads have halos and between them is a typical fourteenth-century crozier with foliate ending of the crook. One of them is undoubtedly Bernard and the most likely other figure is St Benedict who is most frequently portrayed with Bernard. The crozier may belong to the saint on the right and another crozier may have been to the left of the other saint as, for example, in MA094. See also WA39-WA41 & WA43-WA49. |
