One of twelve early fifteenth-century images from the life of Bernard in the chapel dedicated to him at Owen in Wuerttemberg, of which fragments of eleven remain. The second has a standing figure on the right like the first one, but this time wearing eucharistic vestments and a mitre and carrying a crozier. On the right is also a church building, but slightly different from the first in which he was shown as the simple monk he became when entering Citeaux (see WA39) while here he is the abbot of Clairvaux. See also WA39 & WA41-WA49.
