| One of a number of wall paintings in the former Dominican Church at Zwolle dated 1511. The figure of Christ with his hands detached from the Cross bends down to embrace a larger Bernard in a black cowl whose hands are extended to support Christ's body. While Christ is nimbed, Bernard is not. Their heads touch in an embrace. The top of the Cross has the inscription INRI. |
