One of nine frescos depicting scenes from the life of Bernard from 1482 at the Chapel of St Bernard, Pamparato. Bernard is shown standing in a wooden pulpit in the middle of a town. He is preaching to a large number of women on the right and men on the left, and a single monk is in the centre beneath the pulpit looking at an open book. According to the inscription (S. BERNARDO CONVERTIVA ABITANTI DELLA CITTA D'AOSTA) he was preaching in Aosta. The story is not found in any of the sources, and it is thought that the artist has confused him with St Bernard of Aosta. Bernard has a 'tuft'. See also WA12-19 & WA20.
