One of nine frescos depicting scenes from the life of Bernard from 1482 at the Chapel of St Bernard, Pamparato. Bernard, accompanied by two monks, has an open book in his left hand while his right hand is raised to exorcize a woman before him. A devil emerges from her mouth, and she is held by a man, and two other men witness the scene. As the woman is held by a man, it probably refers to the exorcism in Pavia which refers to a man from Milan who brought his wife who was possessed. The inscription reads: COMO S. BERNARDO FESE FUSIRE DIAVOLI DE EL CORPO DI ONO DONA. Bernard has a 'tuft'. See also WA12-17 & WA19-20.
