Description:
One of nine frescos depicting scenes from the life of Bernard from 1482 at the Chapel of St Bernard, Pamparato. Bernard is shown wearing a cope standing behind the bier on which the nimbed Malachy, in the white habit with the hood over his head, is lying. With his right hand he sprinkles Malachy with holy water while he has an open service book in his left hand. He is accompanied by a monk carrying a processional cross and two more monks with their hoods over their heads.The inscription reads: COMO S. BERNARDO SEPELIVA SAN MALACHIA SUO COMPAGNO.
