Description:
Bernard? One of six frescos of saints from c 1420 in the abbot's chapel, discovered and uncovered in 1957. The nimbed figure in a grey cowl and with a crozier with sudarium attached in the right hand and a partly-opened book in the left probably represents Bernard bearing in mind its location, but it could also be St Benedict.
