Description:
Reliquary in the form of a church, modelled on that of St Sernin in Toulouse and probably made in a goldsmith's workshop in that city not far from the abbey of Grandselve. One of seven reliquaries now in the church at Bouillac near the site of the former abbey. Made of walnut covered with a sheet of gilt silver and set with coloured stones. The central scene of the Crucifixion is flanked by four saints, on the right Bernard in eucharistic vestments and carrying a book in his right hand and a crozier in his left hand 'See also VA29' .
