Description:
The right wing of a triptych carved in low relief c 1530 perhaps from the Williamite Monastery in Freiburg, the middle of which features Sts Laurence and James and the left wing St William of Maleval, the founder of the order. Bernard holds an open book in his right hand and a crozier with sudarium attached in his left. The top and lower part of the crozier are missing. Carved on the halo are the words SANCTUS BERNARDUS.
