Description:
Carving of Bernard together with St Benedict looking like twins at the end of the rows of the oak choir stalls dated c 1310 in the abbey church of Doberan in Mecklenburg. Both are nimbed, both carry croziers and books, and being carved in natural wood it is not possible to distinguish the colour of their habits, usually the only way of telling them apart, and it is not possible to tell them apart.
