Description:
Altarpiece painted by Macrino d'Alba in 1499 for the Cistercian abbey of Lucedio. In the centre the Virgin and Child enthroned. Two angels hold a crown over her head, and two more are at her feet. On the right St John the Baptist with a scroll which reads 'Ecce Agnus Dei'. On the left Bernard stands with his right hand on the shoulder of a kneeling donor and his left hand holding a crozier. Bernard has 'tuft'.
