Description:
A triptych reliquary commissioned by the Dominican Fra Francesco da Montebelluna in 1352. The central panel has St Benedict and St Catherine with the donor kneeling, the left St Dominic, and the right Bernard with a crozier in his left hand and a book in his right, all on a green background. The small nun who kneels at the feet of St Dominic indicates the probable provenance of the Convent of St Paolo in Treviso. The text at the base reads: ANNO DNI MCCCLII FR FRANCESC' D MOTEBELU / ORDIS FRM PDICATORUM FECIT FIERI HAC ANCONA AD HONOREM DEI / ...SCM QUORUM RELQE SUT HIC POSITE.
