Description:
The upper half of the right-hand of two retable wings painted on wood (spruce) and originally from the Cistercian Neuberg. The left wing is slightly narrower and has St Vigilius of Trent above and Michael the Archangel below. Below this painting of Bernard (wrongly identified as St John Gualbert) is St Achatius. The very much smaller figure of Christ has the arms round Bernard's shoulders. The scene is a rocky landscape with flowers in the foreground and a small white dog in the bottom left corner.
