Description:
One of six scenes from the life of Bernard flanking the central figure of Bernard in a Florentine altarpiece from c 1430. Bernard is shown kneeling being clothed by his bearded abbot Stephen Harding upon his entry to Citeaux in 1113. The scene is witnessed by two monks and two figures in lay clothes, his brothers who entered at the same time. See also PA114 & PA116-120.
