Description:
The reverse of the wings of a triptych of the Annunciation with Saints painted c 1516 by Jean Bellegambe (see PA108) which has a Lactation picture in grisaille in the same way as the Cellier Retable also by Bellegambe (see PA088) but with the figures reversed, here with the kneeling figure of Bernard on the right and the sitting Virgin and Child on the left, and with the customary banderole with the words 'Monstra te esse matrem' which is missing from the Cellier Retable.
