Description:
Painting on wood from the Czech abbey of Ossek dated c 1500 of three saints with the small kneeling donor figure. A bearded St Andrew with his Cross is in the centre, on the left Bernard in a white cowl and wearing a black cap with a book in his right hand and a crozier in his left hand, and on the right in episcopal vestments of chasuble and dalmatic and wearing a mitre, a crozier in his right hand and a book in his left is St Malachy. Below Bernard the inscription 'S.bernhardus'. The composition is similar to the three saints with donor figure in the Strasbourg wall painting from 1504 (see WA06).
