Description:
A painting from the end of the fifteenth century of Bernard standing on a decorated tile floor, wearing a white cowl with white tunic and black scapular showing underneath, his hands clasped in prayer, his crozier leaning on his right shoulder, and looking up at a small painting on the wall representing the Virgin and Child. The Virgin bares her breast from which a tiny jet of milk goes in Bernard's direction. There is a companion picture of the same size of St Benedict, also with a crozier and in a black cowl. Bernard has a 'tuft'.
