Panel painted in oil on wood in the last third of the fifteenth century. Half-figures of Mary with naked Child, holding the traditional attribute of an apple, and Bernard kneeling. The Virgin holds the Child with her right hand and her bared breast with her left. A youthful Bernard has his hands clasped in prayer with the crozier with sudarium attached held under his right arm and his gaze directed at the Child. A scroll with the inscription 'Monstra te esse matrem' is between the figures. The scene takes place in a room with a window behind Bernard through which a landscape can be glimpsed. Bernard has a 'tuft'.
