Description:
Painted by Francesco Botticini for the altar of the Cavalcanti chapel built in 1490 in the Cistercian church of Cistello, to-day Santa Maria Magdalena. The Virgin with Child is flanked by St Mary Magdalen on the left and Bernard on the right and surrounded by angels and cherubs. Bernard has 'tuft'.
