Description:
The predella of the main altarpiece with a statue of the Virgin in the centre from the abbey of Santes Creus painted by Luis Borrassa c 1420 has Bernard in a white cowl with a black crozier with gold top and a sudarium in his right hand and a red book in his left. A large number of other saints are depicted on the predella, the nearest to Bernard being Francis on the right and Jerome and Benedict on the left. Bernard has a tuft. The right side of the altarpiece has a statue of Bernard (see SC45), while a statue of St Benedict is on the left. Bernard has 'tuft'.
