Description:
Mary sits on a raised platform under a baldachin supported by three angels. She holds the naked Child on her knee with her left hand and her breast directed at the kneeling Bernard with her right hand. The scene is in a monastic church with the choir stalls and an altar in the background. Two monks are in the stalls while two others are engaged in conversation. All four are in black cowls while Bernard's cowl is white. Mary has shed her slippers which are lying on the ground between her and Bernard. Bernard has 'tuft'. There is another version of this in Metz - see PA002.
