Description:
Prayerbook in Flemish with short sections in Latin illuminated c 1460 for the woman shown on fol. 133v kneeling in prayer with her family and updated about thirty years later with further miniatures doubtless for a woman shown on fol 17v Contains a prayer to the Virgin ascribed to Bernard - `God grueta maria moeder` - the `Salve virgo` in Flemish, and on f 64r the Verses of Bernard with a small miniature with a nimbed Berrnard in a white cowl holding a crozier with a gold top in his right hand. In his left hand he has an open book from which he is reading. The same hand also holds up his cowl to reveal a white tunic and black scapular beneath. Full border includes two gold lions.
