Description:
A miniature within a circular wreath in the lower margin of a Breviary which belonged to the Cistercian abbey of Salem has an Amplexus image. A nimbed Bernard in a black cowl kneels before the smaller figure of Christ with his arms detached from the Cross leaning down to embrace Bernard. The arms of Clairvaux are at the bottom.
