Description:
Full-page miniature on gold background in a fifteenth-century paper manuscript of 'Translatio beatissime Rainaldis' has, at the centre, the seated figure of St Peter wearing a papal tiara and carrying a papal cross at the door to a church beneath a large tower. At the four corners are the Doctors of the Church, all nimbed and sitting at desks writing: Gregory, Augustine, Ambrose, and Jerome. On the sides are the standing figures of Bernard on the left and Benedict on the right. Bernard is nimbed, in a white cowl, and carrying a crozier.
