| Miniature in a fiftenth-century Roman Breviary known as the breviary of Ercole I d'Este. A half-figure of a youthful nimbed Bernard in a black cowl is within the initial P(erfice quaesumus Domine), the prayer for the feast of Bernard in the Office and also the Collect at Mass.
