Description:
Book of Hours, use of Langres, in Latin and French made in Langres c 1500 has full-page miniature (one of 20) on the folio preceding the Suffrage to Bernard on f 18. Bernard in a black cowl with gold edging and with the hood over his head stands on a multi-coloured tiled floor in a panelled chamber. He holds a model of a church in his right hand and a gold crozier in his left. The full border with stylized leaves and flowers has a scroll below Bernard with the inscription ORA PRO NOBIS BEATE BERNARDE.
