Description:
Late fifteenth-century Missal from the Cistercian abbey of Loos with a historiated initial I(n medio ecclesie) from the beginning of the Mass for the feast of Bernard. Within a gold frame is the figure of Bernard standing, with a gold crozier in his right hand and an open book in his left. he is in a white cowl and is not nimbed.
