Description:
Unfinished half-figure of Bernard in a Breviary dated c 1490 written on southern France, possibly Toulouse, for the Cluniac house of Moissac, probably during the abbacy of Antoine (1484-1503). Next to the miniature is the decorated initial B(ernardus), the opening of the text recording his life and the only means of identifying the unfinished figure.
