Description:
Missal from Toledo known as 'Misal del Infantado' written before 1518. Next to the decorated gold initial I(n medio ecclesie) on a red ground at the Introit of the feast of Bernard is a miniature with the half-figure of a nimbed Bernard with his hands clasped in prayer and his crozier leaning on his right shoulder. He is looking up at the tiny half-figures of the Virgin and naked Child with gold rays appearing in the sky. Bernard stands in front of a low grey wall with a landscape of trees beyond.
