Description:
In a manuscript of Bernard's Sermons, the standing figure of a bearded Bernard with the hood of his dark grey cowl over his head holds a scroll with the opening words of Psalm 90 (Ps 90:1) 'qui habitat in adjutorio altissimi' within the initial C(onsidero laborem), the beginning of the Prologue of his sermon on the psalm 'qui habitat' as indicated by the text in red at the head of the folio. His white tunic shows under the grey cowl. Above the miniature is the inscription in red ink 'Sanctus Bernhardus'.
