Description:
French Book of Hours (Use of Paris) with Burgundian additions made for Philippe le Hardi, duke of Burgundy after 1470. Among the suffrages are one for Bernard, headed in red ink 'Memoire de saint bernart'. The nimbed Bernard is in a white cowl with the hood over his head, has a crozier in his left hand and a red book in his right. A miniature of St Augustine on the same folio introduces his suffrage.
