Description:
A composite manuscript dated 1475 which includes the 'Speculum humanae salvationis' has a miniature with the half-figure of Bernard in a frontal position wearing a brown cowl below the heading in red 'Bernhardus spricht' (Bernard speaks) and beside the text. The two other figures on the folio are St Jerome and 'a master'. On the previous folio are Sts Gregory, Augustine, John Chrysostom, Albert the Great, and Isodorus.
