Description:
A manuscript of Bernard's Sermons in Italian from an Augustinian monastery dated c 1481 has an image of Bernard within the initial B(ernardo) in red, blue and green. A nimbed and bearded Bernard is sitting at a desk writing on a roll of parchment. He is looking up at a much half-figure of the Virgin in the sky whose arms are stretched out towards him. There are a number of books on a shelf behind Bernard. Bernard has 'tuft'.
