Description:
A Prayer Book in Dutch dated 1440-60 with one full-page miniature and 25 illustrations in the margin, one of them a three-quarter length image of a nimbed Bernard in a brown cowl and with a crozier in his right hand and a red book in his left. An inscription above Bernard reads 'Jesu dulcis memoria dans vera cordi gaudia' (The sweet memory of Jesus gives true joy to the heart). Very similar to MA123.
