Book of Hours, Use of Utrecht, in Dutch dated c 1465 with 10 historiated initials and with addition of 7 full-page and 17 small initials dated 1510, among them one of Bernard in a white cowl with his croazier under his right arm and his hands folded in prayer, kneeling and gazing up at the seated Virgin in a blue dress and naked Child. The Virgin bares her right breast which she sqeezes with her left hand. Bernard's halo is made up of the inscription 'Monstra te ess matrem' in a circle arouns his head. The border consists of gold leaves and pink flowers against a blue and red ground.
