Description:
Title of the work is given at the front: 'Traite des Passages d'Outremer compose par Sebastian Mamerot de Soissons chantre et Chanoine de l'Eglise de St Etienne de Troyes, par l'ordre de Louis de Laval, seigneur de Chastillon Liet-general du Roy Louis XI et Gouverneur de Champagne en Annee 1474'. A full-page miniature has Bernard nimbed and in a white tunic and black scapular standing with hands clasped in prayer and accompanied by a large group of men facing the King wearing a crown and a blue cloak decorated with fleurs de lys who is accompanied by a large group of soldiers with spears. The king is handed a small white cross by a cleric dressed in red.
