Description:
At the beginning of the anonymous work 'de Imitatione Christi et contemptu omnium vanitatum mundi', book 4, a small historiated rosa initial Q with white decoration on a gold background with black border a bearded and nimbed Bernard stands with a book in his left hand and a chain in his right hand at the end of which is a grey horned devil. He stands on grass with a blue background with white dots. The border has flowers, leaves, and fruit. At the bottom of the folio the date is given in the following inscription: 'Iste liber pertinet loco sancti Bernardini apud Claras. 1473'.
