A composite English manuscript from the second half of the fourteenth century, probably nearer the end, including a Litany and suffrages to the saints with 271 images in water colour. The images with accompanying text are a kind of visual litany of the saints with their attributes. On the left a nimbed, tonsured figure in a pale brown cowl holds a red book in the right hand and a crozier in the left. The inscription above tells us that it represents both Bernard and St Benedict: 'Sancte Bernarde ora pro nobis, Sancte Benedicte ora pro nobis'. The figure on the right is St Francis.
