Description:
A Latin Book of Hours made in France (Bourges?) for a Scottish lady has a miniature of inferior quality in the French style with full borders of foliage, flowers and fruit at the beginning of the Verses of Bernard introduced below the image with the words in red: 'Les vers saint bernad'. Bernard is standing in a vaulted chamber with gold columns, pale blue walls, tiled floor, and a window on each side. Behind Bernard is a rosa hanging with gold decoration. He has a crozier in his right hand while lifting up his grey cowl with gold decorated borders with his left hand and revealing his white tunic underenath. Bernard has 'tuft'.
