Description:
In a Book of Prayers from c 1480 in the vernacular Bernard is depicted within the initial O (heere ih[u]s) standing with a crozier in the right hand and a red book in the left wearing a black cowl with gold borders which he holds up so that the white tunic may be seen underneath. He stands on a demon whose head and upper part are on the left and its legs on the right. Both are standing on grass with a river or lake behind and beyond that trees and some buildings with two towers. The initial is rosa with white decoration within and surrounded by gold embellished corners.
