Description:
In an Antiphonary for Dominican use from c 1475 one of the 54 saints depicted in half-figure within circular medallions represents Bernard - the third one up from the bottom right corner. He is in a brown cowl carrying a red book in his left hand and a crozier in his right against a gold background. The border has the inscription 'sanctus bernardus abbas'.
