Description:
From a Missal dated c 1480 commissioned by Abbot Hendrik Keddekin of Ter Doest (1478-92). The miniature above the initital I(n medio ecclesie) from the beginning of the Mass of St Bernard has him standing in a landscape holding a crozier in his right hand and an open book turned outwards in his left hand against a backdrop with the words 'Ave maris stella' around the border. The miniature is very similar to another elsewhere in the manuscript on f 9v (see MA114). Three-quarter border with leaves, flowers, and animals.
