Description:
From a Homiliary from Advent to Easter Sunday written in humanistic script by the monk Peregrinus of St Giustina with fine historiated borders and initials. Within the initial H(odie) in matt gold Bernard is shown preaching to a group of eight monks, some of them, like Bernard himself, in black cowls and others in white, and some of them with their hoods over their heads. The page is surrounded by a decorative margin in the franco-Flemish style with leaves, flowers and birds. In the lower margin is a garden with roses, violets, strawberries, vines and a trellis. In the centre is St Giustina dressed in blue and red and holding a scroll with the words: 'Iste liber est mei Iustine virginis et martyris ac regine urbis Patavii'.
