Description:
From a Dutch Book of Hours made for Yolande de Lalaing, wife of Reinoud II van Brederode, Use of Rome, in Latin and French and dated 1460-65. Bernard is depicted in a black cowl with a golden halo and carrying a crozier in his right hand in an initial I(llumina oculos meos) from the beginning of the 8 Verses of Bernard in Latin. The border is decorated with leaves, a bird, and an archer stringing a bow.
