Description:
One of five miniatures featuring Bernard in an Emilian or Paduan manuscript of the Divine Comedy from the second quarter of the fourteenh century. This one is the only one illustrating Canto 32. Half figures of Dante on the left and Bernard on the right in the Empyrean look up at a bust of the crowned Virgin in glory between busts of an angel, saints, and Beatrice.
