Description:
One of five miniatures featuring Bernard in an Emilian or Paduan manuscript of the Divine Comedy from the second quarter of the fourteeth century. This is one of two illustrating Canto 31. Half figures of Bernard on the right and Dante on the left in the Empyrean look up at a bust of the crowned Virgin in a glory between busts of saints, an angel and Beatrice.
