Description:
One of five miniatures featuring Bernard in an Emilian or Paduan manuscript of the Divine Comedy from the second quarter of the fourteenth century. This is one of two illustrating Canto 31. Half figures of Bernard on the right and Dante on the left in the Empyrean, the white rose among the heads of saints including that of Beatrice. (See also MA073-6).
